Some of your most frequently asked questions answered!

Power flushing is a fairly new technology, so it’s understandable that people are going to ask a few questions about it.

Who better to answer these questions than the UK’s market leaders in domestic and commercial power flushing?

First of all, what on earth is power flushing?

Power flushing does pretty much what it says on the tin. We use a pressurised mix of water and chemicals to flush out the sludgy iron oxide deposits that clog up central heating systems. Once this is done, only water will remain in the central heating system.

How on earth do you do that?

Many people presume that we have to remove radiators or the boiler to perform a power flush. There’s no need for us to; all that we need to do is connect our machine to your system and you’re good to go.

Please note that a small amount of mess may be created during the process, but we always aim to leave a property as we find it. The time it takes for us to power flush your system depends on the size of your system and how bad the problem is. It doesn’t normally take longer than a day for domestic cases.

Who’ll be carrying out the power flush?

One of our engineers will carry out the flush. All of our team members are professionally trained, qualified and DBS (CRB) checked.

Don’t panic if you find that the engineer carrying out the work is not Gas Safe Registered. Power flushing only deals with the water aspect of your central heating system, so registration isn’t necessary for those carrying out this job.

I’m still not convinced…

All of the work that we carry out comes with a three year guarantee, and every one of our engineers carries full public liability insurance for up to £5,000,000.
